Well we are enjoying the beautiful white powdered sand on Miramar Beach in Florida. This is my first time walking in such fine sand. If only I could really enjoy laying out for long periods, but NO, not this fair skinned auburn babe.
So, instead, we girls hit several resale shops for bargains as well as the outlet looking for Jenna’s homecoming dress. We were fortunate at all locations we entered. Jenna’s dress is beautiful; a baby blue appliqued short dress opened at the back with ties down to her waist. Her daddy’s response at seeing her in the dress was, “Where’s the rest of the dress?”
While we were out shopping, the guys were on a chartered fishing trip that was not the best choice. Jude Michael got sea sick and was not a happy boy. The guide had the fishermen catching small fish, nothing quite large. Needless to say, it was an expensive supper flavored with Carmalete’s Original Seasoning.
Thankfully, I was brought up with a Mother who always had a menu and half of the planned meals were halfway cooked for wherever we traveled. So, the next evening meal was beef and chicken fajitas prepared with my Fajita Blend. Delicious! Other meals included steaks on the grill, burgers and hotdogs, pancakes or scrambled eggs and bacon.
It was nice to soak up some sun, take beachside photos, watch my grandsons and son in law, Johnny, catch jellyfish and bury them deep down in the sand of the beach, as well as Randy, Johnny, and the grandsons do some wade fishing. But we must all come back home and get on with jobs, school, and farm life.
