This month brought us such joy and excitement. To begin with we added new stores to sell our organic Blends in Texas. So be watchful, Nederland, Texas. After the first of the new year, 2022, Mr. T’s Health Store will be carrying Carmalete’s Organic Blends. They are located at 2214 Nederland Avenue.
Went to get my oil changed in Lafayette and found out that several employees had tried my All Natural seasoning and wanted more. So being in a “Giving Mood,” I passed out a case to employees and customers. It felt so good to do that.
Came home and started prepping an area for my winter garden. This is the only season when crop dusters do not fly over our yard, so there are no poisonous chemicals dropping on what I am growing. Seven short rows are now filled with dark green luscious vegetables ranging from broccoli and cauliflower to parsley, kale, lettuce, bok choy, and beets.
Our youngest grandson, Jude, came to spend a few days. We were all greeted by a litter of Akbash/Great Pyreneese puppies. Eight white butter balls underneath our shed and Thibbie. She is taking good care for a first time mom. Hopefully, we can sell them all.
Last but not least, Thanksgiving Day was spent here on the farm with our youngest daughter, Jacqueline’s family and Leo, their inside pup. Jacqueline’s husband, Caleb, fried a turkey I had injected with butter and my Original Seasoning Blend and then made a rub with it for the outside. Remington and his Mom had to hold puppies and why not. They are soooo cute.
Remington spent the night and went fishing with Randy the next day. He caught shrimp for his Mom and his first large Redfish. This 12 year old was extremely excited, and is looking forward to the next trip.
